[[Round 1.5 Creator Sign-Up Form]]

Please note:
  • Anyone any everyone, regardless of whether a participant in the last round or not, is eligible to participate.
  • Sign-ups will be open through October 20. Remember, you may participate even if you do not sign up; sign-ups are for folks who want to have their project considered for complement claiming and/or appreciate the accountability of sign-ups.
  • If you are are interested in doing a multicategory project, please email us at ladiesbigbang[at]gmail for approval, and then list the percentages you were sent under the "category" section.
  • For co-creating teams: only one person needs to submit the initial sign-up, but every other person participating in the co-creation must also comment to it confirming their participation.
  • Be sure that you have read the Challenge Overview and Rules & Guidelines for Creators before signing up.
  • Other links that may be of interest: prompts for creators and author permission for podficcers.

Also, feel free to cheer each other on in the comments! Just keep in mind that sign-ups will be screened after the sign-up period ends.

Things to note:

Shorter schedule:

* Sign-ups: October 13-20th [nonmandatory, anyone who sends us a link by Dec 1 may participate]
* Complement claiming: October 20th
* Posting date: December 1st

No official assignments/checking in: We will not do any official assigning of betas or cheerleaders and there will no official checkins, though we will be doing soundoff posts over at [community profile] ladiesbigbangchat. We will create posts where you can solicit help, and we may utilize the pinch hit list.
No individual posting of projects: Instead, we will post a project index on December 2nd linking directly to projects; by December 1st (or up to four days earlier), creators will post their projects in their own space and then email us their links.
Earlier matching of complementers: Because this round would be short and we want complementers to have as much lead time as possible, we will be matching you up right after signups end.

The minimums have changed. These new minimums will carry over to the next regular round, as well. The new minimums are:

The Minimums:

Would you like to have your project listed on the complement claiming post? Yes.
Up to three ideas you're considering doing (optional):
1. Sequel to my fic for the last round, in which Jess and Sam join Dean and Cassie, and they all teach Jess to be a hunter. Will probably involve a couple of cases, a search for John Winchester, and worries over whether Azazel is really dead.
2. Something involving female characters from Final Fantasy VIII; possibly Rinoa, in which case it would be to do with sorceresses. Possibly Quistis, in which case it would involve her work as a mercenary, possibly pre-game.

WOO, PODFIC! I keep thinking one of these days I'm going to try it, though like you it's probably best if I start with something on the shorter end of the spectrum. *g*

Yeah, you really helped a lot to get me started by requesting that one double drabble because before that I'd tried doing some slightly longer ones and just couldn't get through them. My plan for round 1 was to do 5 medium-sized fics that would add up to just over 15K and that didn't work out, but then I did end up podficcing several of those same fics for [community profile] kink_bingo, so that was good. Still, [personal profile] netgirl_y2k's probably my favorite femslash writer (plus my awesome co-mod at [personal profile] camelotremix and I haven't podficced anything of hers yet, so this seems like that right thing now.

Up to three ideas you're considering doing (optional): Yoko Ono, with a backup plan of Tolkien ladies.

A question about icons - if I do focus on Yoko Ono, would icons of some of her sculptures be acceptable?

Ha, sorry to answer you twice about this, but icons of her work would definitely be acceptable, with the caveat that if all the sculptures were of men and you featured a lot of them that could be a bit iffy, though I'm guessing that's not the case.

I'm sorry about that; I got confused. But no, her sculptures are not of men, or even usually of people.

And actually I thought of a second question - would quotes from other women about Ono be permitted, in addition to quotes by Ono herself?

Not a problem -- it was a good reminder that I needed to update that post, actually, so it all works out. :) And quotes along those lines would definitely be acceptable, as well -- I'm really glad you're asking, because when we say "female-centric" we mean that in the broader sense of being about the woman in question so exploring what that means through all sorts of lenses is very encouraged.

Just for reference's sake, I'll be marking your project down as graphics, which has a minimum of 20 pieces -- unless you were hoping to sign up as art, instead, which has a minimum of 10 pieces? Since I'm not sure what style of manips you're doing (whether they'd be more like graphics or art), I wouldn't want to impose a category on you.

Also: really fab idea!

The distinction was not entirely clear to me when I signed up... I more or less do consider my work art, but since manips are listed in the graphics category (and there is a bit of debate whether or not manips constitute art, but that is neither here nor there) I didn't want to impose myself either. The 20 graphics limit is fine with me at any rate. :)

(For reference, this is the sort of work I am hoping to submit.)

Thank you! :) I am really looking forward to this!

Yeah, it's a gray area -- when it comes to situations where the creator is working between categories, I'm happy to leave the distinction up to the creator. So how about we put you down as graphics for now, but if you find that it's not working out we can change you over to art. And very glad to have you participating! Your work is gorgeous. :)

I'm already signed up, but I have a question. You have in the post that you "...will post a project index on December 2nd linking directly to projects; by December 1st (or up to four days earlier), creators will post their projects in their own space and then email us their links." I can't seem to locate the email address.

Scratch that; I'm a moron. ^^;;
