This is it! The first of 3 check-ins for all participants!

You have until 23:59 PDT on 7 June 2010 to respond to this first check-in.

The purpose of this post is twofold.

• Creators/betas/cheerleaders check in on their progress.
  • Creators should be progressing to the point of being approximately 1/3 finished with their projects. This is merely a guideline and is NOT required.
    
  • Cheerleaders/betas check in as to whether they've been in contact with their creators.
  
  
• This is your first "official" chance to drop out if you need to.
  This goes for creators, cheerleaders, and betas. If you need to drop out, that's completely acceptable. We don't require a reason, we just want to know that you're no longer going to be participating in whichever "discipline" you signed up for [creator/beta/cheerleader]. The sooner we know, the sooner we can re-assign support teams if needed.

Remember, creators MUST respond to all three check-in posts AND turn in a completed project on time to be eligible for a complement.

If we don't hear from you, we will assume that you are no longer interested in continuing.

I certainly feel a lot better about having only about 400 words... I was an idiot and for some reason thought the start date was the start of JUNE.

May was very much full of scary real life things, mind, so it's doubtful I'd have gotten much done anyway. But I'm feeling good about my ability to keep going.

It took me a little while to figure out which project to do, but I've finally figured it out. I think. *crosses fingers* Now I just need to finish fleshing out my outline and actually write the damned thing.

Right now, my word count is 10,408, which is only about 1/6 done, since I'm updating a WIP that I abandoned several years ago. My output should increase significantly once summer break starts, though.

I'm a creator. I'm podficcing women from the Sentinel fandom.
So far:

1.Went through a bunch of stories to find those that meet the criteria. Really not very many, most of the ones with women characters are observing or commenting on Jim and Blair.

2.I've emailed a bunch of authors, got back some permission to podfic replies, a refusal, and no reply from others. One author is going to revise her story first.

3. I've done my practice recording of three out of four of the stories. I haven't found a short one for the fifth that's suitable and I'm out of time to keep searching. I'll still have enough words.

4. Picked some of the music and thought about where to add it and how.

%. Listened to two of the practice copies enough that I can record them, which I'm going to do one tonight.


Still up to do. Recording, finding music, editing. (Editing takes a long time) and listening to it on my Mp3 player to catch any mistakes.
