This is it! The first of 3 check-ins for all participants!

You have until 23:59 PDT on 7 June 2010 to respond to this first check-in.

The purpose of this post is twofold.

• Creators/betas/cheerleaders check in on their progress.
  • Creators should be progressing to the point of being approximately 1/3 finished with their projects. This is merely a guideline and is NOT required.
    
  • Cheerleaders/betas check in as to whether they've been in contact with their creators.
  
  
• This is your first "official" chance to drop out if you need to.
  This goes for creators, cheerleaders, and betas. If you need to drop out, that's completely acceptable. We don't require a reason, we just want to know that you're no longer going to be participating in whichever "discipline" you signed up for [creator/beta/cheerleader]. The sooner we know, the sooner we can re-assign support teams if needed.

Remember, creators MUST respond to all three check-in posts AND turn in a completed project on time to be eligible for a complement.

If we don't hear from you, we will assume that you are no longer interested in continuing.

Checking in as a creator - I think I'm 1/3 of the way through, but it's hard to tell because the count is padded by all the quotes I've been grabbing out. Why oh why can't I buy Tamora Pierce ebooks in New Zealand?

Of course, 1/3 of the word count doesn't equal 1/3 of the way through!

I'm still in as a beta and cheerleader though! Have been in touch with both my creators on LJ/Dreamwidth but I should probably e-mail the person I'm just getting to know to find out more about their project.

Checking in as creator: fanfic writer, name snow. I've written 3505 words, which I'm happy with considering I had finals until mid-month, scrapped my initial project in favour of something more exciting (and less bloody), and my fic is paralleling current events and is up to yesterday.
